Have you ever said, today was a good day or a bad day or my kids were good today or bad today? Oh come on, you know you have.
Listen in as we explore how we look at good and evil (bad). Do we see good and bad like God does or is our perspective a bit skewed?
Sit back and relax and begin looking at how you see things that go on in your life, does it all revolve around you?
If it does, maybe it should all revolve around Tom and Joe instead...

Alice Cooper, Golf Monster -
A Rock ‘n’ Roller’s Life and
12 Steps To Becoming A Golf Addict
Author: Alice Cooper
Tom's Review -
I know what you’re thinking, “Why the heck is an autobiography by Alice Cooper being recommended on this website?” Well, first of all, it’s confession time; I’ve been a big Alice Cooper fan since I was 13 years old and bought “School’s Out” on cassette. There was something about Alice that just clicked with me. I don’t expect non-Cooper fans to understand. But I was hooked. If A.C. was in town, I was at the concert.
So imagine my excitement when, in 1994, rumors started to surface that Alice Cooper had become a Christian! Could it be true? Yes! Shock rock’s king had committed his life to Christ. Now we can call him “Brother Alice”.
In this autobiography that was just released in 2007, Alice tells his story. And he covers everything. He talks about his life as a child, the teenage years and how he became Alice Cooper. He covers the good, bad and the ugly. He chronicles his long battle with alcohol addiction and how he finally found faith in Jesus Christ.
Interspersed through out the book are golf tips. (Alice happens to be a golf fanatic.) I thought I’d just skim over these because I have absolutely no interest in golf. But these “golf tips” are really points that are applicable to life.
He also answers the burning question, “If Alice Cooper is saved, how can he still be Alice Cooper and continue putting out albums and doing concerts?” But, you’re going to have to get the book to get the answer to that one.
Blue Like Jazz
Author: Donald Miller
Tom's Review -
If you want your Christianity to be based on a list of dos and don’ts, should and shouldn’ts and how tos, then don’t read this book. However, if you see following Jesus as a great journey with all its ups and downs, twists and turns and even a few bumps in the road, then this book is for you.
In Blue Like Jazz, Donald Miller let’s us take a peek in to his life as he pursues Jesus and as Jesus pursues him. He is not shy about letting us see his short comings and foibles. As he does, we can get a glimpse of how Jesus can lead us along on this journey.
The subtitle of the book is “Nonreligious Thoughts on Christian Spirituality”. It was refreshing to read a “Christian” book that absolutely did not feel “religious”.
Listen in as we try and mess up everything you ever thought you believed about giving and the dreaded "T" word... tithes.
If you want to learn more, next week we'll post a PDF of the research Joe did that brought him to this viewpoint, so you can tear it apart and make him cry or use in the bottom of your bird cage.
That means this week you have to study it on your own without my cheat sheet, have fun!!!
Episode 15 MP3 Version
Listen in as we again chat about raising our kids with a real faith and look at if maybe it's more about our relationship with them and not so much about information.
If you're interested in learning more about this we recommend "Loving Our Kids On Purpose" by Danny Silk.
Episode 14 MP3 Version
Listen in as we chat about raising our kids with a real faith and not teaching them to give an outward compliance performance while their hearts are far away.
Remember if you have questions or comments email Tom, if you want to tell us how great we are email Joe, thanks!
